Moved after 1823 to vicinity of Alton, Madison County, Illinois. First husband (Amos Berry) died there. Moved prior to 1840 to section of southwestern Missouri which later became Stone County; during Civil War moved to Troy, Kansas; Married <p>2nd, Thomas Vogin; 3rd, married James Belcher before 1850 census. She is living with the A. Berry family in Taney Co, MO, Sep. 1850 as E. Belcher. 4th, Talcott Messenger. In 1860 Stone Co. census she is living with the family of Francis Patrick <p>Berry as Esther Messenger.</p>
