Esther I. Thomas
"Esther Irene Thomas, 91, died at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital Tuesday. She was born July 2, 1888, at Exira, Iowa, one of 10 children of Mr. and Mrs. Fernando Hamlin.
She attended schools at Exira and Harrison, Neb. She taught school in Sioux County near Harrison. She married Henry Thomas at Harrison, Neb., Nov. 25, 1915. They moved to Verse, Wyo., in 1920. In 1941 she moved to Miles City.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Elks Does, and the Range Riders Reps. In 1958 she moved to Billings and in 1970 she came to Bozeman.
She is survived by a son, Sydney B. Thomas of Bozeman; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Flora) Rash of Harlowton; five grandchildren; four sisters, Flora Raitt of Gillette, Wyo., Helen Bieser of Kansas City, Missouri, Ann Watts of Casper,Wyo.; a brother, Tom Hamlin of St. Maries, Idaho, and many nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Dahl Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at Miles City at 3 p.m. Friday with funeral directors from Dahl Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements." ................
