Esther Silver

These were daughters of Woolf and Phoebe Harris. The family is quite well documented in Jewish Chronicle announcements. The once well-known caterer, Michael Silver, married Catherine Harris in 1853. After she died he married her sister Fanny in 1873. See JC 17th June 1873 - marriage at the residence of Rev. M. Isidor, Chief Rabbi of Paris, Michael Silver to Fanny, fifth daughter of Phoebe Harris, late of Hobart Town. Esther Silver was married to Michael Silver's brother. her death was announced in the JC of 9th September 1877 - at 39 Middlesex Street...beloved wife of L. S. Silver and youngest daughter of the late Phoebe and Woolf Harris, in her 31st year. - Jeff Maynard
