FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR MRS. EVA OBERG
Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Christine Oberg, 52, early day resident of the Arnegard community, were held Monday, August 24th, at 2 p.m. from the Wilmington Lutheran church in Arnegard. She passed away on Friday, August 21st, at 12:15 p.m. in a Williston hospital.
Daughter of Ivar and Clara Arnegard, she was born Nov. 9th, 1906 at Mayville and came with her parents at the age of one year to Arnegard where they homesteaded. She spent nine years at Glenburn and the past seven years she was employed at the Bethel Home in Williston. On Sept. 30, 1930, she was married to Walter Oberg at Williston, ND.
She was a member of the Lutheran church at Glenburn.
Mr. Oberg preceded her in death in 1950, and a daughter died at birth.
Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Ivar Arnegard of Arnegard; one brother, Melvin Arnegard of Arnegard; one nephew and three neices.
Rev. Hobart Skilbred and Rev. Pernie Peterson conducted the funeral services. Mrs. A. O. Arnegard, Jr. was organist and Clarence Leiseth soloist. Interment was made in the Arnegard cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Albert Arnegard, Jr., Andrew Stenehjem, Leonard Wilson, George Bremseth, Donald Shirley and Clifford Sovig.
There were also a number of honorary escorts from the Bethel Lutheran Home at Williston.
