Mrs. Eva Babcock Dies in Convis

--Mrs. Eva E. Babcock, 78, widow of Elmer Babcock, died Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Clifford Babcock in Convis township. She had been ill for a year. --Born October 16, 1873 in Convis township, the daughter of William and Mary Masters, she was married in Marshall on May 6, 1894 to Elmer Babcock of Marshall, who died August 5, 1930. She was a life-long resident of this locality. --Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dave Scott of Convis and Mrs. Axel Kasperson of Chicago; one son, Clifford; three brothers, Albert Masters of Battle Creek, Claude and Frank Masters of Convis; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Hamilton of Convis and Miss Julia Masters of Plainwell; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. --Friends may call at the Kelser funeral home, where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., the Rev.
