About Evelyn S. Clark
Evelyn S. Clark, 93, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 2010 at her residence.
Born August 21, 1917 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Paris and Emma (Matthews) Williams.
She was employed by RCA in Bloomington performing various duties before retiring in Housekeeping after 27 years of service. She attended St. Paul Methodist Church and previously attended the First Christian Church and Clear Creek Christian Church in Bloomington. She was the Director of Quilting for the Old American Center.
Surviving relatives include: her children, Jack R. Clark, Ruth Anne Sutherlin and Lessel L. Clark, all of Bloomington, and Karen M. Simon of Fort Wayne; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lessel C. Clark in 1949, one son, Carl R. Clark in 1976, brothers and sisters, Flora Williams, Mildred Williams, Garland Williams, Robert Williams, Raymond Williams, Blanche Williams, Mary Williams, Gale Williams and Kathleen Williams, and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Ron Sutherlin officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army.
