About Ezekiel Kellogg

EZEKIAL KELLOGG / 1697 - 1778

Was a weaver in 1720, a trader in 1731; resided in Hadley and New Salem, MA. Became prosperous. Traded with local Indians. Served as soldier in the French and Indian War in Col. Williams' Regiment; served for ten days, travelled 44 miles during siege of Fort William Henry. In the Indian War he commanded a company against the Indians; had charge of the fort in New Salem, built for protection of the families of the settlers.
