Born at Peterborough New Hampshire, but raised in Hillsboro. Attended school 1-12 in Hillsboro. Camp counselor at Nissen's Girls Camp in Hillsboro at 15 years old. Worked at Breezy Point hotel at Franklin Pierce Reservoir at 16. Attended Nasson College, Springvale, Maine. First Study Abroad Program to Vienna Austria. Graduated BS in History. 35 years banking with 7 years central information,10 years collections, 11 years lending. 40 yrs family tree research/father researched 50 years+

I have worked these families...connecting one with the other and trying to document those connections ... I primarily work down from the 1700's to present and work at the siblings of established people. Hopefully, some will find that the family tradition that states that they are related to 'whomever' will be confirmed (tho sometimes through a sibling connection) and open some 'brick walls' for searchers.

I use Town Histories, Genealogies, Find a grave, familysearch, and some Web sites (tho usually only those that give sources that can be cross-checked) and tend to stay clear of PDF files (they sometimes have indicators but the numbers of errors and mis-calculations do not, in my opinion, lend themselves to being used as a 'good' source...I also utilize the fine talents of a number of Geni members (Curators, Pro's, and some very savvy non-Pros)...

As many already know, I do tend to go off on journeys of discovery....be careful what you ask about a person because I may end up working the family from one end of the country to the other....along with any interesting people I find on the way .... and there are a lot of very interesting people and events that have not been given their proper 'nod' or recognition...or even PLACED on the tree...

I encourage everyone to work sidewise; the siblings; and the other connections they find....and PLEASE try to enter something into the 'about me' (I have quite a few still to enter; so I am as guilty as anyone of being less than complete for some of my entries)...

The migration of people, the changing in careers, the daily lives of many, the expolits and adventures, the family dynamic, the heartaches and triumphs...are truly a learning experience that is not something you have often....and we do it daily. I am proud to be part of it.

Some of my passions are: working in my flower beds, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles; and my cyrptograms.....a good training ground for genealogy?!?
