Fielding Barnes

No record of Fielding Barnes ever having the first name of Moses. No records, no sources, no documents - equals no evidence. Tax records from Mercer County, Kentucky for 1800, 1801, 1803, 1804, 1806, 1808, 1809, 1810 have his name listed as only Fielding Barnes. Probate Inventory (19 Oct 1810) and Orders Books (1 Oct 1810) from Mercer County, Kentucky list him as deceased and with the name of Fielding Barnes. He also signs the marriage bond for his sister in 1808 as Fielding Barnes.

People have attempted to attach records of a Moses Barnes of Fayette County, Kentucky to Fielding, but these are for another person. The Tax records prove that he lived in Mercer County between 1800 - 1810 and died there in in late September of 1810 to early October 1810. He never lived Fayette County.

Almost "Researchers" on Ancestry (listed below) are circular reporting information (not a source) and are just "copying" info from other tree; they have no sources or wrong sources (1810 census).
