FRANCIS (Hills) TRASK .... Birth: May 10, 1810 Farmington Hartford County Connecticut, USA Death: May 13, 1888 Terre Haute Henderson County Illinois, USA

Died at the residence of her son, Dr. E. H. Trask, Sunday May 13th, at 1:30 a.m., Mrs. Frances H. Trask, aged 78 years and 3 days. The deceased was born in Farmington, Conn., May 8th 1810. Her maiden name being Hills. She was married to Jared H. Trask, Sept. 22 1829. In the year 1842 they moved to Iowa, where they lived until 1866, when they came to this place. In December 1879 Mr. Trask died and since then she has resided with a daughter at New Boston part of the time and with her son, the Dr., at this place the remainder of the time. She has been a consistent christian for 63 years and departed this life in the triumph of a living faith. She realized that the end was near and gave directions in regard to her burial. Her last words were, 'Meet me in Heaven'. She leaves two children, a son and daughter, 19 grand-children and 13 great grand-children and numerous friends to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. T. Clarke, of Stronghurst, on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. There was a large crowd in attendance, thus attesting the high esteem in which she was held. The remains were interred in the Terre Haute cemetery.... Mrs. Parsons, of Chicago, has been here a week or so in attendance upon her mother during her last hours.
