Wikipedia entry here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frances_Nelson
thepeerage.com here: http://www.thepeerage.com/p3129.htm#i31281 (with more reliable birth date and baptism info) - also says: "As a result of her marriage, Frances Herbert Woolward was styled as Viscountess Nelson of the Nile and of Burnham Thorpe on 22 May 1801."
From The Pursuit of Victory: The Life and Achievement of Horatio Nelson, by Roger J.B. Knight (2005) (pp.96-98): Daughter of a Nevis juddge (William Woolward), who had died... when Fanny was 21, she had married the doctor, Josiah Nisbet, who had nursed her father through his last illness. When he became ill, they returned to England, where young Josiah was born... Fanny appealed to her uncle, John Herbert, president of Nevis, and she and Josiah returned to Nevis to live with him... She was slightly older than Nelson, accomplished as a piano player and French speaker. He was impressed by "her sense, politie manners,...her beauty". They met in May 1785. No evidence exists as to Fanny's contentment on Nevis before she met Nelson, but her attachment seems constant and genuine.
