"John White, Senior, died in 1691, and his widow, Frances, five years later. [making her death in 1696]. Probably their remains were buried at Eustis Street in Roxbury. No monument to them can be found at present," according to "John White of Muddy River," Brookline Historical Publication Society 1897.


According to some researchers, Frances White, wife of John White of Muddy River, was born about 1619, and died in 1696. Most historians agree her parentage is not known. Birth year for Frances is definitely an estimate.


FRANCES, 3rd known child of Edmond & Frances (Read) Onge, was baptized 14 October 1610; no further record.

Edmund Onge was baptized Lavenham 13 June 1568, son of Edward Onge, and was buried there 7 June 1630. He married Frances Read at Brent Eleigh, Suffolk, 8 April 1602. They had 13 known children: Marie (who came to New England on the Francis in 1634), Edmond, Frances, Edmond again, Thomas, Elizabeth Holden, Symon, Thomas, John, Isaac & Rebecca (twins), Moses, & Jacob.
