Mr. Frank McKinney died at his home in this city at 11:15 Monday forenoon after a sickness extending through past years with a stomach trouble. He has been in a serious condition for a number of weeks past and his passing was not unexpected, yet it is hard for the family, the relatives and friends to give up this good man and good citizen.
Francis Marion McKinney was born April 6, 1873; died August 27, 1928, making his age at death 55 years, 4 months and 21 days. He was married to Miss Esther Ramsey in 1900. To this union were born three children, 2 daughters and one son: Florence Ellen, Iuka Ida and George Absalom. He made a profession of faith in Christ about 1914 and united with the Church of Christ, remaining true and faithful until death.
He leaves a wife, three children and two brothers, besides numerous other relatives to mourn the loss of a faithful husband, a devoted father, a good neighbor and a worthy citizen.
Mr. McKinney was a member of Texas Lodge No. 372, I.O.O.F., of this city, and was buried with full Odd Fellows honors, service being conducted by J.K. Connolly.
Funeral services were held at the Emery Community Church at Emery graveyard Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. B. Tillery, and burial followed in the presence of a very large crowd at the Emery graveyard.
Many friends of the family join in earnest sympathy to the sorrowing wife and children in the loss of husband and father.
