Francis Xavier Mehr

August 27, 1922 – April 16, 2013

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Frank Mehr, age 90, who died Tuesday at the Paynesville Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

A visitation for Frank will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the St. Martin Parish Hall. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the parish hall.

Frank was born in Paynesville, MN to Mike and Anna (Schmitz) Mehr. He married Irene Loch on October 9, 1950 in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade, MN. Frank was a farmer his entire life. He loved playing cards, dancing, bowling, and watching the MN Twins. He also enjoyed going on trips to the Casino with his kids, visiting with friends, and sharing stories. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Society, and a polka club.

Survivors include his children, Duane (Diane) of Richmond, Boni (Dave) Heinen of St. Martin, Debi (Roger) Imdieke of Greenwald, Vicki (Chuck) Lahr of St. Cloud, Cyndi Brink (Doug Jackson) of Monticello, Dale (Mishelle) of St. Martin; sister, Ester (Marlyn) Libbesmeier; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alverna and Ray Welle; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (2001); sisters, Ida Schaefer, Helen Wieber, Anna Mae Hubert; brothers, John, Jacob, Math, Bernard, and grandson, Donald.
