My son Benjamin Roberts shall not be possessed with any part of the above mentioned tract which lies on the north side of Great Battle Run included within any fence during my natural life, anything in the above deed to the contrary mentioned notwithstanding. Wit: Richard Young, Henry Field Junr.

G- 328-30 know all men by these presents that I Francis Roberts of County of Culpeper for sum of Fifty three pounds Eight Shillings and Eight pence current money of Virginia to me paid by James Robison of Falmouth in County of King George Merchant in behalf of Messrs. William Cunninghame and Company of the City of Glasgow in the Kingdom of great Britain Merchants and Partners have sold one negroe vench named Sarah about fifteen years of age, two cows and calfs marked with a Crop and Swallow folk and two slits in the left ear, one Bay Mare with a blazed face and three dotts on the near shoulder, two feather beds and furniture with all the rest of my household furniture to said James Robison provided nevertheless and this Bill is Sale is upon this express condition that if the said Francis Roberts shall truely pay the sum of Fifty three pounds Eight shillings and Eight pence current money of Virginia on the first of September in the year 1774 with lawfull interest from this date then this Bill of Sale shall become & be utterly void .. in Witness whereof the
said Francis Roberts hath hereunto set his hand and seal this 22nd day of May 1774.
