About Franciszka "Frances" Wika
Married Frank Wika in 1882 in Silver Lake, Minnesota. Came to US from Poznan, Poland with her parents at the age of 14. Married Freank Wika at age 16 and moved to Dakota Territory in 1885 along with her parents. They homesteaded on SW 1/4 of section 22 in Grenville Twshp., Day County. By 1910 they were farming 480 acres. They retired from the farm and built a home in Grenville where they lived until 1930.
She died of senility, hypertension & osteo-arthritis
