Obituary: John Snaza Sr of Grenville is Buried

John Snaza Sr passed away at home at Grenville at 6:15am, Fri, Oct 17, at age 73 yrs, 1 mo, 23 da, following 10 mo illness from arterio-sclerosis. Funeral svcs were held at 9 o’clock Mon morning in St Joseph Church, Grenville, Rev J H Dolney officiating & St Joseph choir assisting w/music. Interment was in St Joseph Cem, w/pallbearers John Jaskulka, John Burchatz, Frank P. Kurkowski, Fred Pingel, Felix Mondry, & Frank Koslowski. Relatives & friends from distance attending funeral were Mrs Leo Boik & John J Snaza of Dodge Ctr, MN; Mr & Mrs John Burchatz & family, Florence; & Mr & Mrs Joe Snaza, Roslyn. Mr Snaza b Aug 24 1868 in Poland, son of Mr & Mrs Thomas Snaza. He came to US later, & in 1889 m Otilia Wasilk. During his life he was mbr of St Joseph Church & St Joseph Soc. Besides his widow, 7 dtrs & 5 sons survive, Martha Kurkowski & Ted Snaza, both of Grenville; John V Snaza Jr, Dodge Ctr, MN; Rose Jaskulka, Grenville; Emil Snaza, TX; & Henry Snaza, CA, both serving in US Army, Miss Frances Snaza, Grenville; Albina Pingel, Webster, SD; Joe A Snaza, Roslyn; Cecilia Boik, Dodge Ctr, MN; Dora Burchatz, Florence; & Helen Mondry, Grenville. Also surviving are 2 sis & 4 bro, Mrs Frances Wika, Webster; Mrs Rose Polisek, Staples, MN; Anton Snaza & Tom Snaza, both of Grenville, SD; Frank Snaza, Webster; Isidore Snaza, Red Riv, MN; & 28 grdchildren. 2 dtrs Emily & Sally preceded him in death. Reporter & Farmer extends sympathy to bereaved family.
