Frans Jordaan (1945 – 2008)

Brief overview:

Frans (63) from a farm in Bultfontein, north of Pretoria, was shot five times, three times in the chest and twice in the back, on 22nd November 2008. He managed to crawl to his bedroom and climb on the bed where he died.

"He must have come home, unlocked it, put down his lunch bags and then been mugged," said Frans's son Francois (39). "With the shooting, there must have been an altercation, because there are marks in the blood on the floor. My father is a guy who would fight back. "According to the blood marks on the way to his room and the hand marks on the wall, it looks like he went to his room, sat on his bed, lay back and died there," he said.

Besides Francois, Frans leaves behind three daughters, Mia (38), Elsofie (34) and Hanchen (29), and his ex-wife, Lieschen (62).

According to Capt. Lydia Ditinti, police spokesperson, the murder is being investigated. No one has been arrested yet.
