Francoise's father Pierre was mixed, not sure about her mother Elizabeth, but either way she was definitely born a free person of color.</line><line /><line>For some reason there's not a lot of info about Elizabeth. Francoise might have been born out of wedlock. Pierre did have a wife named Marie Philippe Rayo, and Francoise lived with them and her half-siblings: Hermine, Joseph, Xavier, and Josephine.</line><line /><line /><line /><line /><line>---</line><line /><line>Shadows-on-the-Teche (Mary Weeks and John Moore), built in 1834. Might also be under Frances Mary Weeks Magill Pruett, or William F. Weeks.
Albania Plantation (Charles Alexandre Grevemberg), built between 1837-1842. After his death in 1851, the plantation was managed by his wife Euphemie Fuselier.
Darby, founded by Jonathan Darby in 1813.
Dulcito, built in 1850. Owned by Jacques Fontenette.
Enterprise, built by Simeon Patout in 1835. Still operated by the Patout family. Not actualy sure if they had slaves.</line><line /><line>shadowsontheteche.org/enslaved-community</line><line /><line>1860 slave census lists several young women who would have been the right age:
