S. R. BAKER DIES AT 84

PACKWOOD -S. R. "Frank" Baker, 84, died suddenly Saturday at 4 p.m. following a heart attack at his Packwood home.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in Fairfield with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

The Baker family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9.

Baker was born March 1, 1892 in Jefferson County, the son of George P. and Asenath Ross Baker. He farmed in the Antioch area and spent his entire life in this county.

Baker was married to Offie Pearl Steele Sept. 14, 1912. She preceded him in death Nov. 11, 1957. On April 6, 1971 he was married to Grace Murphy, who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Stewart, Fairfield; and George Baker of Washington.

Other survivors are 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two stepdaughters, Mar. Everett Whitten, Packwood, and Mrs. Winifred Ancell, Burlingto; 12 step grandchildren and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.
