Frank du Plessis, water superintendent, Klipfontein near Cookhouse, stabbed to death Source: Algoa FM. June 28 2013 - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of the water superintendent of the Klipfontein area near Cookhouse. SAPS captain Stefanie Smith confirmed that water superintendent at Klipfointein near Cookhouse Frank du Plessis, who was in his late 50s, was stabbed several times in the neck. She claimed there was 'an argument with two of his workers." A strange 'argument': the wife Betsy was also injured when she was assaulted by the 'arguing workers' who then also ransacked their house. Allegedly they 'fled the scene with 'an undisclosed amount of stolen cash and 'household items'. The couple reportedly have two small children, aged four and seven. Smith says one of the suspects was arrested shortly after the incident by a farmer in the area who was alerted to the scene. Cookhouse and Bedford police combined forces and managed to arrest the second suspect.
