Son of the late Franklin and Dorothy Osgood, husband to Priscilla Greene Osgood with whom he was married for forty-two years. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Mary Dick Osgood.
Frank leaves behind his brother WIlliam M. Osgood, his sister Dorothy Scarborough, son Taylor Osgood and wife Kim, his daughter Jodie Osgood and husband James Van Sciver, his daughter, Cynthia Jackson Tsuruta and husband Takahiro, his son Carl Jackson and wife Laurie, and his daughter Janet Jackson (deceased). Frank's grandchildren are Ian Templin, Erica Van Sciver, Nicholas Van Sciver, Ischin Maki, Naomi Williams, Sheon Maki, Zen Maki, and Jessie Loupeda. His great-grandchildren are Halle Maki, Toi Maki, Kieahla Williams, Audree Gibson, and Emeric Loupeda.
Frank graduated from The William Penn Charter School. He then attended Dartmouth College on a naval scholarship, graduating in 1952, going on to serve his country as a Naval Lieutenant on the destroyer USS Lind, DD703. In 1955 he joined the marketing group at Smith, Kline, and French. Frank and three colleagues left that firm to form what later became Lea, Inc, a pharmaceutical marketing research firm. Following several business mergers Frank became CEO of IMS, Inc, retiring in 1985.
In retirement, Frank and Priscilla split the year between their Pennsylvania and Montana homes. The two were active gardeners, surrounding their homes with flowers. Frank was a member of the Main Line Unitarian Church and especially enjoyed designing and working on the church gardens. He was an excellent tennis player and golfer, enjoying the competition and companionship of the games. Frank also donated time at Planned Parenthood continuing to volunteer well into his eighties.
In Montana, Frank was a very active outdoorsman, enjoying fly fishing, hiking, and skiing. He and Priscilla especially loved hosting family and friends at their summer home, introducing the generations to their beloved western mountains.
