Was granted a passport (nr 505) to America on February 27th 1907 by the provincial government of Turku. Moved to America using the name Frank John Joki.
Left Finland from the port of Hanko on March 6th 1907 aboard SS Arcturus of the Finnish Steamship Company, continuing the voyage from Liverpool aboard SS Cymric of the White Star Line on March 14th 1907, price of the ticket 192 Finnish marks, destination Boston, MA.
Second time traveled through Kristianian (=Oslo), Norway aboard SS Kristianiafjord, arrived at Ellis Island on November 11th 1916, residence Tampere, Finland.
In 1917 lived in Norwood City no 34, Massachusetts, occupation “ship carpenter”, next of kin Elsa Leino 115 East 130 St. New York City [US WWI Draft Registration Cards 1917-1918].
Third time left Finland from the port of Hanko on September 11th 1924 aboard SS Arcturus, continued the voyage from Southampton aboard RMS Leviathan of the United States Line on September 16th 1924, price of the ticket 4350 Finnish marks [Institute of Migration], arrived as single at Ellis Island on September 22nd 1924 [Passenger Arrival Lists, Ellis Island].
Returned back to Finland upon retirement and owned the Jokipohja farm in Karkku.
Moved from Karkku to Nokia on 27 Jan 1940.
