Frederick Wells Avery of Ottawa, millionaire lumberman, died in Montreal today, Thursday, 11 May 1916, at a hospital after an operation. Mr. Avery was born in New York in 1852 and came to Canada in 1879. He was a former vice president of the Canadian Lumbermen's Association.
