Frederick moved with his parents from Albany to N.Y. City abt 1690. He and his wife were admitted as members of the church on Mar. 2, 1714 on confession of faith. In the same year or early in the next he moved to Freehold Twp. Mon. Co. N.J. He bought land there on June 16, 1715. In his will dated Mar. 10, 1756 he mentions by name his wife Hannah, his sons, Van Hook, Solomon and Lawrence, his daus. Hannah, Frances and Sarah, his son-in-law Matthias Mount, and Hannah’s dau. Mary Van Hook and grandson Frederick Brown, mentions other chn. but not by name.
