Death: She died in Providence County, Rhode Island, between 12 OCT 1801 and 30 Jan 1803.


Family

Oliver Kingsley was born in 1705, the son of Nathaniel and Christian (Cole) Kingsley.[1]. He married Freelove Hale on 31 December, 1729, in Swansea.[2]

Their children were

  5. Ann
  6. Freelove.

He passed away in 1739.[3]

Lydia Kingsley was the widow of Oliver Kingsley,[1] with whom she had 5 children, when she married Jotham Carpenter, widower of Mehitable Thompson, with whom he had eight children in 1748.[2]

Freelove Hale and Jotham Carpenter had an additional four children:

  1. Freelove, born 1749, married Job Whipple;
  2. Jotham III, born 28 Nov 1750, married Hannah Gulley;
  3. Oliver, born 15 Nov 1753, married Joanna Ballou; and,
  4. Desire, born 26 Oct 1755, married William Lang.

"Carpenter, Freelove, of Cumberland, widow, far advanced in years. Will dated 12 Oct 1801, proved 28 Feb 1803, pgs 62-63. Mentions: Sons Jotham Carpenter & Oliver Carpenter. Daughters Freelove Whipple, Desire Ballou, Lydia Blake, & Anna Bliss."
