Frytz Ragore and Elsen

The second possible son of ragor was Frytz Ragore ( Fritz Rachor I.) from Ossenheim (Kleinostheim). He was married to Elsen Ragore (Elsa Rachor).

I found information about them from the year 1497:

Lease between the monastery of Seligenstadt and the married couple Fritz and Elsa Ragore in the year 1497:

"Häuser Acker"

We, Thomas the abbott, Andreas the Prior, and the whole convent of the monastery of Seligenstadt, of the Benedictine Order in the diocese of Mainz, make public with this letter before all men, who see it, read it or hear it read, that we have lent the honorable married couple, Fritz Ragore of Ossenheim and Elsen, his wife, and their heirs, and continue to lend, by virtue of this letter, the houses and field, which are located in the Ossenheim area for a twenty year period and (the contract) is extended by the same twenty years from the date of this letter, with approximately five years already passed.

And the above-mentioned married couple, Fritz and Elsa, or their heirs, should give us from the use of this acreage, each and every year, especially in the time between the feast of our Blessed Mother's Assumption into heaven (Aug. 15) and her birthday (Sept 8), as payment of three loads of grain, measured by the Seligenstadt standard. And deliver this to our monastery at their expense, their damage, labor and loss.

It is also further agreed that above-mentioned Fritz or his heirs should fertilize such land a half acre every year and keep it in the best land development and care.

Also, should the above-mentioned Fritz or his heirs, let the fields lay constantly idle in the time mentioned, so that they remain without request without page make-up with double plowing and without sowing, at the right time cancel before, so that we may lend beforehand favorably without penalty. However, if they should ignore such, we may take it back at their expense and without loss to us.

It is also agreed, if Ragore and his heirs hold such described piece and we find it in default and neglected, we may take our field back with all taxation and hero in questionable speech without any questioning or resistence on his part or that of his heirs.

For the confirmation of all and any pieces described above and of the contract, we, Thomas the abbott, and we, the community, have affixed our two seals to this letter, which is issued on Thursday after the feast of the Three Kings, in the one thousand four hundred and seventy-nineth year after the birth of Christ, our Lord."

The „Haeuser Acker Gut“ "Houses field" was a great and important farmyard owned by the St. Benediktiner monastery Seligenstadt and rented to Frytz Ragore, his wife Elsen and their heirs. Today the buildings are a restaurant but I don’t know if there are historical buildings too.

We don't know the reason, why Fritz Ragor (Frytz Ragore) settled from Kleinostheim (Ossenheim) to Zellhausen.

It is possible it was in common with the peasant uprising at this time.

After the year 1532 the 2 farmyards of Zellhausen owned by the St. Benedictiner monastery Seligenstadt became new leanseholders. 1532 came Balthasar Forstmeister from Gelenhausen and 1537 came Fritz Ragor (Frytz Ragore) from Kleinostheim to Zellhausen.

"Häuser Acker

Wir, Thomas der Abt, Andreas der Prior, und wir das ganze Konvent des Klosters Seligenstadt S: Benediktiner Orden des Mainzer Bistums bekennen dies öffentlich mit diesem Brief gegenüber aller Menschen, die ihn sehen, lesen oder hören lesen, dass wir den ehrsamen Eheleuten, Frytz Ragore von Ossenheim und Elsen seiner ehelichen Hausfrau und ihrer Leiberben verliehen haben, und verleihen Kraft dieses Briefes, den Häuser Acker gelegen in der Ossenheimer Gemarkung zwanzig Jahre lang und (der Vertrag) wird verlängert um der selbigen zwanzig Jahre auf das Datum dieses Briefes, wenn ungefähr fünf Jahre vergangen sind.

Und sollen uns die obgenannten Eheleute Frytz und Elsen oder ihre Erben von solchem benutzten Acker alle Jahr und jegliches Jahr besonders in der Zeit, die zwischen den Festtagen unserer Lieben Frau als sie zu Himmel fuhr und geboren ward liegt, geben und bezahlen drei Malter gutes Korn gemäß Seligenstädter Maß. Und uns die in unser Kloster liefern auf ihre Kosten, ihrer Schaden, Arbeit und Verlust.

Es ist auch ferner beredet, dass obengenannter Frytz oder seine Erben alle Jahre an solchem Acker einen halben Morgen düngen und ihn in bester Bebauung und Betreuung halten sollen.

Auch soll so der obengenannte Frytz oder seine Erben, so sie ständig in der bemerkten Zeit die Äcker liegen lassen, so dass sie ohne Ersuchen ohne Umbruch mit zweimaligem Pflügen und ohne Säen bleiben, zur rechten Zeit zuvor kündigen, auf dass wir vorher günstig mögen verleihen ohne Schaden. Als sie aber solches missachten sollten, mögen wir mit ihren Kosten und ohne unseren Schaden ihn nachholen.

Auch ist beredet, wenn Ragore und seine Erben solches beschriebene Stück behielten und wir es säumig und nachlässig vorfinden, mögen wir unseren Acker an uns nehmen mit aller Besteuerung und hero in fraglicher Rede ohne Hindernisse seiner oder seiner Erben.

Zur Bekräftigung aller und jeglicher oben beschriebener Stücke und zum Articul (Vertrag) so haben wir, Thomas der Abt, und wir, der Konvent, unser beider Insiegel an diesen Brief gehangen, der gegeben ist nach Christi Unseres Herrn Geburt Tausendvierhundert und in dem Siebenundneunzigsten Jahr auf Donnerstag nach den Heiligen Drei Königen."

Das Häuser Ackergut (Heiser Acker) in der Gemarkung Kleinostheim hatte eine Größe von ca. 60 Morgen (15 ha) und erbrachte für das Kloster Seligenstadt ca. 1448 ein Gefälle von 3 Malter Korn, 15 Albus.

Noch heute ist das Häuser Ackergut in den Karten von Kleinostheim verzeichnet und wird als Ausflugslokal betrieben.
