"Gail Dilthey Field, 69, passed away Oct. 30, 2007 in San Marcos. She was born Feb.21, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Gail was a very caring and giving woman. Gail was an RN working until her eye sight started to fail due to Diabetes. Gail also served on the board for Early Childhood Intervention. Gail was very active with supporting local and national animal organization like PETA, WWF and local PALS. Gail is survived by her loving husband Warwick Francis Field, Jr., daughter Cindy and her husband Patrick Ibbotson and her beloved grandsons Matthew Field and Alfred Ibbotson. Gail is also survived by her brother Ronald Dilthey and his wife Shirley in Raleigh, NC; her three step children Twyla Ramos, Jason Field, Alan Field and their families. Gail is also survived by her many friends. Gail will forever be remembered as a loving and supporting wife, mother and, to her beloved grandson Matthew, as Granny. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at First Presbyterian Church of San Marcos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to animal organizations."
