About Gen. Charles Harrison of Berkeley
Charles Harrison (1740 – 12 December 1793) was born into the famous Harrison family of Virginia. His brother was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and his nephew William Henry Harrison later became president. His rank in the American Revolutionary War was Brevet Brigadier General and he was in the Battle of Monmouth (1778), Battle of Camden (1780), Battle of Hobkirk's Hill (1781)
