"(102) George Douglas of Friarshaw, baptised Edinburgh 2nd May 1673 ; died 6th October 1753. He was an Advocate, and married, 27th April 1702, Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Patrick Scott, Bt., of Ancrum. They had issue : —
ARMS recorded Lyon Office, 1747. — Argent, a maris heart gules, ensigned with an imperial crown proper, on a chief azure three mullets of the first ; all within a bordure nebuly of the fourth. CREST : A hand grasping a broken spear proper. MOTTO :" Do or die" [Plate III., fig. 10.]"
