On August 23, 1756 George (the elder) Foster was appointed guardian to grandchildren George, Elizabeth, Mary, and Francis, orphans of son Robert and daughter-in-law Charity Foster. George the elder made a trip by wagon to pick up the children and bring them back to his home, except for grandson George who stayed behind on his parent's property.
