About George March
George March (born January 14th, 1651). Son of Hugh March & Judith
From http://home.comcast.net/~ld-artist/March/1600/GeorgeMarch.htm
In December of 1667, a group of people got together to make plans to settle the "new" towns of Woodbridge and Pascataway in New Jersey. Amoung the men were George March and his father Hugh.
As of January 14th, 1668 George held title to 90 acres of land in Woodbridge. Family tradition has him "going by coastal vessel to that place with his father."
On June 12, 1672, George March married Mary Folsom daughter of John Folsom of Exeter, New Hampshire. George and Mary had 12 children.

Out of all of his children Hugh March was probably closest to George the most. When Hugh took over operations of the tavern Hugh gave the "old farm and dwelling house" to George. Later George was to erect a fence around the graves of both his parents "within the Sawyers Hill Burying Ground.
" In 1697 George sold his property at Woodbridge, which had grown to include 260 acres to one Peter Elston.
George's wife Mary died Abt. 1717 in Newbury, MA.

- "George died about April 29th, 1753."

Much confusion has arisen due the placement of this Sarah (March) Chase in the wrong parental family in the 1928 Chase genealogy. That otherwise estimable work shows her as having been the daughter of George Chase. However, the will of her father, Hugh March, conclusively proves that she was his daughter. George also had a daughter Sarah, born at nearly the same time in the same town, but George's daughter Sarah Chase married Humphrey Deering.
