About George Ransom Strain
George Ransom Strain moved to Lamar in 1905 after having spent several years farming in Indiana. He and his wife followed some of his sons to Colorado and resided there for 22 years. At the time of his death he was living with his son Cora. He died due to paralysis a few weeks after a stroke for which he was taken to the hospital. Funeral arrangements were made by Cheatum Mortuary after Coar and his wife returned from a trip to the South on the No. 5 that Sunday morning.
