History: Francis Van Scoy credits George to Michael Y. and Elizabeth Stump. The birth and death information here is same as for Michael and Elizabeth's son. There is obvious confusion. The family Bible was handed down to Clement Stump's son David Stump, re: Eileen Dove.

Christina was credited as wife of George, son of Michael Harness Y. and Elizabeth Stump for many years, back to Dr. Smith's book, and possibly before. In 1998 a descendant, Eileen Dove, brought evidence that she belongs here.

1850 census for Hardy County, Virginia states family as George age 46 Christina age 32, Jacob age 12, Michael age 12, Rebecca A. E. age 11 Adam age 9, Mary Jane age 8, John age 5, George age 4, Barbara age 2, Daniel age 6 months all born in Virginia

They are on the 1850 census of Hardy Co., VA (now WV), page 123, dwelling 845, family 856. Connie Y. Tierney credits George to Phillip Y. III and Susannah Ours.
