About Gertrude L Lang
Gertrude L. Lang, 83, formerly of Auburn, passed away on February 14, 2013, at D' Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, with her daughter by her side.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1929, in Lewiston, a daughter of the late Lucien and Alvine (Landry) Rancourt. She attended local schools and went on to college, attaining her associate's degree.
She was a great homemaker who particularly enjoyed cooking, traveling with her husband, Arthur, and loved being in the company of friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of "The Red Hat Society at D' Youville." She had a tremendously infectious smile and just enjoyed having fun.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Lang; her son, Gregory Holbrook; her sister, Connie Limoseth; and her brother, Robert Rancourt.
