L'annil huit cent cinquante Svp et le quinze Novembre, à quatre heures du soir, par devant nous, Sebastièn Langlés, adjointau Maviest par délégation dere dernier officièr del Etat civil de la ville de Pau département des Basses Pyrenées, sous comparus les Sceurs Jean Joseph Gayral, Instituteur agé de quarante un ans Jeun Feugas, employé à la Mairie age de soixante huit ans domiciliés a Pau, lesquels nous ont déclaré que Monsieur Gilbert Hamilton, Major, agè de quarante six ans, nè a Glasgow en Ecosse, depassagé à Pau, sans autre indication, est décédé hièr à Six heures du soir dans la Maison Puyo, Rue Marca en cette ville, et ont la déclarans.

[translated:] On Wednesday, 15 November 1815, at four o'clock in the afternoon, before us, Sebastièn Langlés, deputy to the Mayor, by delegation from the last civil officer of the city of Pau, department of Basses Pyrénées, appeared the undersigned, Jean Joseph Gayral, a forty-one-year-old schoolteacher, and Jean Feugas, a sixty-eight-year-old municipal employee, both residing in Pau, who declared to us that Mr. Gilbert Hamilton, Major, aged forty-six, born in Glasgow, Scotland, having resided in Pau without further indication, passed away yesterday, Tuesday, 14 November 1815, at six o'clock in the evening at the Puyo House, Marca Street, in this city, and they made this declaration.
