Gladys Kari Matthes, age 89, Foley, MN, died Monday, October 22, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Zion United Methodist Church, Marshfield, WI. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church in Marshfield. Interment will be in Stratford Lutheran Parish Cemetery, Stratford, WI. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Gladys was born September 17, 1923 in Marshfield, WI to Tollef and Laura (Hopp) Moen, Sr. On June 11, 1943 Gladys was united in marriage to Marvin Matthes at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, WI. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Marshfield, WI. Gladys was a good cook and great at crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Matthes of Foley, MN; sons and daughter; brother and sister; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, James and Kenneth, and brother, Gerald Moen.
