RIVER FALLS JOURNAL Vol130 No50 Thursday December 10, 1987 Pg A4 col 2 OBITUARIES Gladys Paulson, 88 Gladys Paulson, River Falls, died Dec. 2 at United Hospital in St. Paul following a short illness. She was born in River Falls April 14, 1899, the daughter of Hans Peter and Nelia Paulson. She attended state normal school in River Falls and taught in several Wisconsin and Minnesota schools. She returned to River Falls and earned her degree, after which she devoted 21 years to teaching math, English and art in the high school in Lake City, Minn. Although her teaching assignments prevented her from living year-round in River Falls, she maintained her home (which she had built in 1948) here. During vacations she cared for her home, did craft work and was a vacation Bible school teacher at Ezekiel Lutheran Church for many years. After she retired, she returned to her River Falls house and lived there until she moved to Mound View Apartments. Survivors include her sister Freda Lindquist and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The funeral was held Dec. 5 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Montgomery officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.
