PAULSON DIES Levi Alvin Paulson was born to Hans Peter Paulson and Gunelia Isaacson Paulson on September 15, 1895 in the town of Kinnickinnic. He passed away January 24, at the River Falls Nursing Care Center following a lengthy illness. Levi was a graduate of the River Falls Public Schools and the River Falls Normal School. He was a veteran of World War I and taught school for seven years. Following the death of his father, he returned to farming for several years. From 1928 until his retirement in 1963 Levi was the mail carrier on Rt. 2. He was active in music virtually all of his life, taking part in orchestra, band and chorus while in school and church choirs. He was a lifetime member of Ezekiel Lutheran Church and for many years was secretary and treasurer. On Aug. 22, 1917, he was united in marriage to Alma Halvorson. He is survived by his wife, and his two sons- -Leslie and Duane of River Falls; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters- -Mrs. Gladys Paulson and Mrs. Vern (Freda) Lindquist of River Falls. Visitation was held at the Cashman Mortuary on Sunday afternoon and evening with funeral services at Ezekiel Lutheran Church on Monday, Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m., Pastor Jule Berndt and Pastor Leslie Paulson officiating with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Paulson, Loren Paulson, Lynn Paulson, Jeff Paulson, Lance Paulson, and Gerald Lindquist.
