Gordon Thomas McLennan

Gordon was brought up on the family farm and went to school at Tahakopa.

In 1979 Gordon failed to be granted a promised block of land (from the original farm) when it was subdivided by the Lands and Survey Department. Gordon had begun working on the block when he was first married on the understanding that he would be the McLennan to whom a block was to be granted. After this he took up farm work at Waipiata.

Gordon played 16 games for Otago as a prop from 1961-63; and was a prominent woodchopper.

Gordon suffered from diabetes as had his brother but his final battle was with cancer.
