Known as Bill.
Bill & Molly lived at Blackball and the West Coast where Bill has been a swmiller and coal miner.
Bill was a rugby league player until his retirement in 1957; Kiwis tour of England and France 1951-52; Kiwis tour of Australia 1952; Coach and Captain, Blackball league Team, West Coast Senior League Selector 1952-59; played for NZ against Australian touring side 1953; World Cup Series, France 1954; played NZ vs France in NZ 1955; Vice Captain, Kiwis tour of England and France 1955-56; he was in the NZ World Cup team to Australia in 1957; Rothmans Coaching Certificate, Coach and Manager, 4th Grades under 17 and under 19 1960-69; South Island Coach and NZ selector for Under 19s 1969.
In addition to the above Bill played two exhibition games against Australia in 1954.
He is a life member of the Blackball Workingmen's Club.
