In 1603, when he was 40 years old, Thomas married Grace Upcher (aka Upshur), about 20 years younger (b. 1580), from the nearby village of Fordham, Essex. Her father was a yeoman farmer named Joseph Upcher[1] and she had an uncle who was a noted cleric in the Church of England at Fordham and London.
Thomas and Grace (Upcher) Cooke had four children:[2]
After his wife Grace died in about 1616, Thomas Cooke, the Younger, married a second time to a local widow, Susan [Robins ??], in about 1617, in Great Yealdham, Essex. They had no children together and lived in Great Yealdham.
