Grace Lung

Grace Catherine Lung of Cadillac, Michigan, entered eternal life on Friday, May 7, 2010 at her home. She was 85 years old.

Grace was born June 3, 1924 in Shelby County, Ohio to August and Anna (DeBrosse) Peltier. She married Carl W. Lung Jr. January 10, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He preceded her in death December 4, 2000.

Grace had worked from 1970 until her retirement in 1988 at Mitchell Corporation. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac and St. Ann rosary makers. She was a member of the St. Ann Church Choir for 35 years and the Elks Lodge Daisy Chain.

Grace is survived by her son, Gary (Rhonda) Lung; daughter, Connie (Rusty) Piltz, all of Cadillac; a stepdaughter, Helaine (Jerry) Atwell of Lapeer; grandchildren: Christopher, Kimberly and Corey Lung, Dennis (Peg) Atwell and Shelley (Paul) Gill; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lexus and Krista, Katie and Michael; a brother, Leonard Alvina) Peltier; sisters: Antoinette Baugher and Rose (Leroy) Schwieterman, all of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by six sisters: Martha Luthman, Ursula "Peg" Baugher, Bernice Monnin, Florence Bothast, Esther Zircher and Gertrude Creager; a brother, Hubert Peltier; and a stepbrother, Albert Denn.

Visitation: Monday May 10,2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac, with Fr. Francis J. Murphy as celebrant.

Burial: Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cadillac. Memorials: Mercy Hospice or St. Ann Catholic Church.
