About Gregorio MARIANO - UNDER RESEARCH
It is a fact that Macario "Adriatico" MARIANO was involved in the revolution against Spain, serving as Chief Of Staff under the commanding general Diokno, one of the most trusted generals of Aguinaldo. SOURCE: http://www.linkpdf.com/ebook-viewer.php?url=http://www.nhi.gov.ph/d...
It is not far fetched, that Macario's own family was involved in his revolutionary activites so as "to watch each other's back." In this case, Gregorio Mariano aka "Maligaya" was working as a Customs Official but as an underground Treasurer of the Katipunan between 1892-1896.
Sadly, the source below also actually details how each of the listed members died except for some like Gregorio, whom probably was MIA. This revolutionary activity could have led to his early demise and making Maria Monte, his wife a widow with two children to fend for (Laura & Luciano). Thus, explains Maria Monte's selfless decision to have Luciano adopted by Asuncion Monte (presumably a sister of hers) who was married to Victor Alcantara.
Perhaps, some family members may recall stories about Gregorio Mariano and Macario "Adriatico" Mariano? Please let me know...
