GRISSEL SCOTT
Grissel Scott is the daughter of Sir Walter Scott of Branxholm. She married William, Lord Borthwick, who treated her very badly. The Scots Peerage II: p. 111 Following his death in October 1582 she married for a second time to Walter Cairncross in Lugatt, son of John Cairncross of Colmslie. The Scots Peerage II: p. 112
