About Grizella McNeill
"Black Neill's" wife Grissella Campbell has a very interesting ancestry. According to the McNeill's Ferry Chronicle, she was the niece of Rev. Dugald Campbell, translator of the Gaelic Bible, who was also the grandfather of Elizabeth McTavish, Neill's mother. In addition, according to this source, these Campbells were directly descended from Duncan "Lord Camille", first Lord Campbell of Argyll.
