Notes about Guttorm Guttormsson
A Gutthorm dux, mentioned 1180 (Dipl. Suec. I, nos. 59 and 66). Is this possible, which in that case brings forward the estimated time of birth by approx. 20 years both on this and probably also the children. Guttorm Jarl, (d.ä) was Jarl from about 1167, to at least 1171 and thus must have resigned or died between the years 1176 - 1178, which excludes him as the mentioned Gutthorm dux 1180, unless it was a retroactive mention. (A direct quote from Dipl. Suec. I, nos. 59 and 66. would be desirable to see here). Dux is also likely to be interpreted as a companion and not an Earl, as Birger Brosa was a Swedish earl between the years 1174–1202. Power holder on Frösön. Born eft. ca. 1160 in Svealand, Sweden. Died after 1240 in Frösö (Z). Om Gutthorm Guttormsson (svenska)
Guttorm Guttormson
Född eft. ca. 1160 i Svealand, Sverige.
