Hélène Joffrion was born on 20 March 1685 at Contrecoeur, (Verchères), Nouvelle-France. She was baptized on 28 March 1685 at Contrecoeur, (Verchères), Nouvelle-France. Present at the baptism were her parents and François Jarret, the Seigneur of Verchères. Also present was Marie Perrot. Reverend Benoit Duplein performed the ceremony.
