SIBLEY — Hampton G. Bergstrom, 92, of Sibley, died at 11:40 a.m. June 13, 1985 at Cole Hospital, Champaign.
His funeral was at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Tim Miller officiating.
He was born Sept. 7, 1892. in Gibson City, a son of August and Anna B. Johanson Bergstrom. He married Elise Christensen Oct. 18, 1923, in Gibson City. She died Dec. 6, 1968.
Surviving is a son-in-law, Roy West, Sibley; a grandson, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, three sisters, and two brothers preceded him in death.
He was a Sibley resident since 1932 and operated a grocery store until his retirement in the 1960's.
He was a member of the Sibley Methodist Church, Sibley American Legion, and the Gibson City Masonic Lodge. He attended Augustana College and taught school for a year near Guthrie.
He was a World War I Navy veteran.
