Biography
Hannah was born in 1661. Hannah Hayward.
She was married first to John Sargeant, a mariner of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Their first child was a daughter Hannah, born in Gloucester on 30 March 1681.[1]
John Sargeant died near the end of 1710, probably at sea.[1]
She married again, to Nathaniel Coit. They registered their marriage intentions in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on 30 November 1711.[1] There were no children from the marriage to Nathaniel Coit.
Hannah Coit, "the wife of Capt Nathaniel Coit," died in Gloucester in 1750, "aged 89 years."[1] [2] She is buried in the Ancient Burying Ground (now called First Parish Burial Ground) in Gloucester.[2][3]
